| Sangiovese Brunello (Grosso)
Cherry, plum and herb flavors highlight this splendid variety from
Tuscany, Italy.
Our yield will be managed to comply with the Italian DOC maximum of
70 hl/ha in order to produce a superior quality wine.
Our initial Sangiovese Brunello block is clone VCR-221 grown on 3309C
rootstock planted in spring 2002, first vintage will be 2004. The
vines are trained and pruned to Double Guyot.

Sangiovese means literally "Blood of
Jove". Nice to think that this Roman god left off seducing
mortals and dropping thunderbolts to give his name to this vine. |
-
| Cabernet Sauvignon
Blackcurrant fruit with scents of cedar wood highlight this
powerhouse of a wine. The Bordeaux region of France made this wine
famous and we look forward to producing a wine that lives up to it's
reputation.
Our first Cabernet Sauvignon blocks were planted in spring 2003,
first vintage will be 2005. We are growing clone 337 grown on 5C
rootstock. The vines are trained to Double Guyot.

Aristocratic and magnificent, Cabernet Sauvignon is
represented here by the sunburst, the emblem of France's king Louis
XIV. The painting captures Cabernet Sauvignon importance and
regal position on the world of wine. |
| Merlot
Merlot is Bordeaux's 'other' red grape, frequently used to soften the
bold Cabernet Sauvignon grown there. Some of the best Merlot's
come from St-Émilion and Pomerol in France and Tuscany in
Italy. Our favorite Merlots have flavors of black cherry and
chocolate.
Santeetlah Vineyards first Merlot blocks were planted in spring 2003,
first vintage will be 2006. We have selected clone 181 grown on 5C
rootstock trained to Double Guyot.

Merlot's name is derived from "merle",
French for blackbird whom apparently loves it's fruit. Painting

| St. Vincent
Spring 2004 planting of our first block of St. Vincent with
an anticipated first vintage in fall 2007.
This wonderful French Hybrid winegrape is named
for St. Vincent of Saragossa, the patron saint of winegrowers. During
January, St. Vincent is honored throughout Europe with celebrations,
prayers, weather-omen ceremonials, and, of course, wine tasting.
